snow boarding

so marianne finally learned how to snow board. we had a ward sky night and though in the past i have just hung out at the lodge i decided this year i would learn how to snow board. so erica, kody, and dan all tried to teach me. it was way fun, but i think i enjoyed the crashing and falling the best. the funniest thing was when i tried to get off the lift. i was on it by myself and did not know how to get off so after i missed the spot where you are supposed to get off i just jumped. i landed in like three feet of snow and we all had a really good laugh about it. i did make it down the mountain once, it took me a very long time, and i crashed many times along the way. i only went down once because by the end my back and knee were hurting me so bad, plus i had not eaten in like eight hours and i could feel my body starting to react to the low sugar. dan sense then has invited me to go with him, but i declined i think it will be a while before i tackel the mountains again.

RECALL



k so lets play catch up on marianne's life shall we. it has been a fun couple of weeks that included christmas and new years. a few weeks before christmas a small group of us went to bear lake for the weekend. we had a blast while there even though we experienced some plumbing problems our first night. the bathroom on the main level flooded and went through the floor boards into the basement. it was a mess but very funny with all the clean up and one am phone calls to erica's parents. we then had fun 4 wheeling in the snow and jumping into the frozen bear lake. all in all it was a fun weekend away from life.

christmas was good, i went home for the family party the week before because i had to work all of christmas. it was nice to see everyone and enjoy the family. i spent christmas eve night at my roommate rachael's house. her parents were so sweet and did a stocking and santa for me . after work christmas day the folks came up with the little kids to do christmas with me. we had dinner at rachel's house with her family and it was a great day. i very much loved the crock pot i got for christmas and cooked a very yummy roast in it that all very much enjoyed. i also got the harry potter books and am now almost done with reading them all finally.

so we decided to have a new years eve party at our house so that we all did not have to go anywhere else. my friend taylor was not supper happy about it sense he was already having one that we were all invited to, but he knew we through better parties so they all just came over to our house. i made a ton of food for it and people sat around and talked for the first little bit. we then got the music going and as usual we had a dance party that was way fun. we had all in all around forty people show up through out the night. we then watched a movie to quiet things down, and people finally left at 4:30am.

well life is back to normal now that the break is done. working both jobs still and lovin it. speacial olympics just started back up so that should be fun as well. so thats the round up of my life hope ya all are doing great.

winter has arrived

so this past weekend me and erica went to slc with dan and our friend ben. i was able to get tickets to go to the first presidency devotional. it was a fun filled sunday with dinner at the ebert's house and a quick visit to my folks house. we then met up with dan's cousing and her boyfriend for the devotional and then walked around temple square to see the lights. the devotional was great and i enjoyed the messages the first presidency shared. temple square was gorgeous but we did not walk around for long due to how cold it was and not everyone having coats. it was very nice though to have a day away from logan and to be able to enjoy slc.

so winter has finally made it to logan. we have had a few days of snow fall but the cold is what gets me. it has been under 10 degrees for about 3 days now. it is insane. to truly describe the cold i will share an experience i had with a preschooler of mine.

we were outside getting the kids on the bus when one of my preschoolers noticed that he could see his breath when he breathed. he turned to me and said "Ms. marianne don't breath it will steal it."

it was so cute that he thought the cold was stealing our breath, and it was just that cold.

well life is good and a little slow with speacial olympics on a break for now. but who can complain when they now have free time. hope everyone is enjoying the snow and christmas season.

a break from life

so i am way excited for this break from life that is coming up. i was able to get work off for thanksgiving, so i can go home to the fam. i am so happy to be able to get away from the roommates and the drama of girls. i also am excited because our fall season of special olympics had finally come to an end. we officially have a break until mid jan. it will be so nice to be able to come home from work sat. mornigs and go to bed rather then practice. who knew that life could get so tiresome.

fun with guns

so i recently went shooting with some friends of mine and it was way fun. i wish i had pictures but there was no camera there. we got to the spot late and so we shot by the light of all the cars. we had some pumpkins and we wanted to see how trashed we could get them. we had a pistol, a shot gun 12 gage, and a 30 30 i think it is called i am not sure. i shot the pistol for the main part and hit the pimpkins alot. it was way fun. then a friend of mine asked if i wanted to shoot the shot gun which i have done before but this one had some different shells in it that have 12 beebes in it agian can't think of what they are called. it had such a strong kick back that i almost fell back. so then another friend of mine had some beer bottels that we shot. no there was no drinking envolved. i was the only one to hit the bottel on the first shot. not even the guys could so yes all bragging rights are mine. well it was a fun night full of guns and exploding pumpkins.

summers end

so sense the summer is coming to an end i thought i would share with you all the fun that went on here in logan.

so for starter a bunch of us decided to go down to slc for the temple open house. it was way fun and a very spiritual expereience. the ride down was a blast especially because i had not slept in 24 hours.

all of us that went down, one big happy family someone said.

so we decided to go to lagoon one day and some of us spent way to much fun in the sun and got seriously burnt. we were so tired at the end of the night we decided to take a rest in the sit and smoke station. that was until we got kicked out for someone that wanted to use it for its real purpose.

so our little brother cole just left on his mission. we went to weston idaho for his farewell and met all his family. it was way fun to see him grow up and get ready to serve the lord. cole has been gone fore almost a month now and we love hearing from him and love the replacement little brother he left us.

we had a freedom party for lauren on the day that would have been her year wedding aniversary. we ended up dressing up like crazy people and had a dance party. it was a good day for her

so we all went and had a bon fire for fhe one night. there was this cute bench so we decided to take pictures. it was fun seeing how many people we could fit on it.

we went to a demolition durby one night and the sun was so bright we all had to wear our glasses. it was a way fun night and we loved watching all the cars get beat to death






so we went shooting in the mountains one day and had a blast. not everyone would shoot because they were scared but i loved it. we then went four wheeling in kodie's new suv.

well there is the summer in a nut shell. i whole lot more happened like getting new roommates, having erica move in, and painting my house and redecorating it. yes it has been a great summer and i hope the fall will be just as good.
