Memorial Weekend 2013

Memorial weekend was supper fun this year. We decided to take Filip to the local zoo for the first time. He had fun looking at the animals that were big enough for him to see. He did really well being carted around by dad.

On Meorial Day we went and put flowers at the local military monuments.  Sense we did not have any family buried in the area we decided to also put flowers on a few graves at the local cemetary that did not have any.

Thanks to the men and women that serve and to those that gave their lives.

That afternoon it was so nice and warm out, we decided to pull out the pool for the first time.  Filip did not like it at first because the water was so cold.  After a while he got used to it and had a blast.

Happy Easter

I'm all about doing lots of activities with the holidays, so we got together with my sister and her kids a few days before Easter and decorated Easter eggs.  Though I know Filip has no idea what is going on and does not care if he participates or not, I love making him do it all anyway.

Rachel's girls were the only ones in her family that wanted to join, they loved it and had fun with all the bold colors.


I have been sending pictures to the grandparents for each holiday.  This is what I came up with for Easter.

He would not stay sitting up long enough for me to take a picture so he ended up laying on the floor.

He did not like being in the basket and I could not get him to smile.


Filip was the only one I did an Easter egg hunt for this year.  He loved finding the eggs and trying to grab and pick them up.

Every year for Easter we get a movie, sandals, and I make sure to do an activity type thing in our baskets.  This year we got bubbles.

After Church we decided to head up to first dam and feed the ducks and play with bubbles.

He thought the bubble gun was so cool.

lifes update

So it has been a very long time sense I posted on my blog.  I have not had the Internet in our home for over 2 years now, but i was bored at work today and figured I would take advantage of their Internet.

Lots of things have happened in our lives over the last couple of years.  Reggie graduated from college over a year ago, which he was very excited to be done.  We both are now just working.  he has recently started a new job at JBS, which is a beef slaughter house here in the valley.  I am now only working one job.  I never thought the day would come that I would only have one job.  I am currently just working at the group home for adults with mental illness,  I miss working with my little preschoolers, but o how it has been nice only working roughly 30 hrs a week.  Why you might ask did I go down to one job, well the answer would be that a little one joined our family.
We found out the end of January 2012 that I was pregnant, and we were thrilled.  Pregnancy sucked for me and it will only ever be seen as a means to a great end in my mind.  There were at times some concerns along the way but we ended up with a healthy and happy baby.

Filip George Cavalier was born on September 29, 2012 at 12:40 am.  he was 7lb 4oz and 20in long.  When he was born he looked as if he had lost a fight, due to the tough delivery to get him here.

As the days went on after his birth the bruises, swelling, and jaundice went away and he was a perfect as could be.

life update

well marriage is going good. next week we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. i cant believe it has been that long, it has gone by fast. i am still working like crazy as usual. i am in need of a break that is for sure. Reggie just started a new job this week. so far it is going well so hopefully he will like it. i am super proud of him, he is now a college graduate. he turned his last paper in on Thursday and is excited to be done. due to cut backs the university does not do a graduation at the end of fall semester, so he will not be walking. he has the option of walking in may but we are hoping that he will have started basic training by then. life plans for us now are to work until he enlists in the spring and see where life takes us from there.

a major change in life.

ok so yes i know it has been way to long sense my last post but the life just has not stopped.

so catch up to a lot of things. in may i moved out of my apt:( way sad to leave all my roommates. i moved in with my sister Rachel, cause she is awesome. thanks for letting me stay there longer then planned. kept working and doing special Olympics. you know me always busy. well then in June at a fhe activity, miniature golfing, i met a man:)

well we kinda of hit it off, and pretty fast too. we started dating and getting to know each other over the next month.

he had to march with the air force in a parade, so i went to watch with some of rachel's kids. unfortunately by the time we got to the spot he had just passed.

reggie is from back east so i felt like he needed to experience Utah's red neck and country ways. so we went to a truck pull and to the demolition derby. lets just say they were new experiences for him. so much fun

i decided to take him on a date. so we first went to the park to go to the batting cages but they were not working. way sad:( so we had a picnic and watched a show on my lap top. we then went to the little local zoo in logan. and then out for frozen ice cream. lets just say i know haw to plan a date.

so anyway we dated and such and then on july 7th 2010 he took me miniature golfing to the same place we met and asked me to marry him. i said yes of course and he gave me a gorgeous ring, (i picked it out so he did great):)

we were waiting until december to get married so we had lots of time to plan. we did our engagement picture the beginning of sep. thanks to his aunt for doing a wonderful job.

just some random ones. she did a lot of great ones and the invitations looked great. thanks to my friend Jaimie for designing them.

on dec. 18th i went through the temple. one of the most spiritual events in my life. i was very happy to have my family and his there to support me. thank you for all those that could make it.

on dec. 21st 2010 we were married in the salt lake temple for time and all eternity. it was a great day. i have never been so happy and i am so excited to start our life together.

well sense i was a part of the main event i did not get any pictures on my camera, so when i get copies from others i will post them so you can see the great events of the day. thank you for all those that supported reggie and i in our marriage and for those that helped make the day go great.

well that is whats new with me.
